Dynamex Reports Lower 1Q Income
Logistics and delivery firm Dynamex Inc.’s fiscal first-quarter profit fell slightly to $3.03 million, or 31 cents a share, from $3.05 million, or 30 cents, a year ago.
Sales for the quarter ended Oct. 30 fell 13.9% to $99.4 million, the company said late Wednesday.
Dynamex said it lowered employee costs, which include salaries and benefits, by 12.9% from the previous year.
Dynamex, which provides same-day delivery services, is ranked No. 70 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
