Bill Davis Trucking Files Bankruptcy
Bill Davis Trucking, a truckload carrier based in Batesville, Ark., filed for protection from creditors under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Act on Oct. 22.
The company said the move was necessitated by an injury accident and a lawsuit filed against the company.
“This has been a very unfortunate chain of events,” Bill Davis said in a statement released by Bill Davis Racing, a separate entity owned by Davis that operates Nextel Cup cars and Craftsman Truck Series vehicles.
Davis founded the trucking company with his wife, Gail, in 1975.
