The American Transportation Research Institute has launched a confidential survey to update its 2013 Operational Costs of Trucking report.

ATRI is seeking to capture basic information from for-hire carriers such as driver pay, fuel costs, insurance premiums and lease or purchase payments.  Carriers are asked to provide full-year 2013 per-mile and cost-per-hour cost data.

Combined with its previous reports, the results will yield six full years of trucking cost information derived directly from fleet operations, and provide carriers with a benchmarking tool and government agencies with information for future infrastructure improvement analyses.

Results will be available later this year. For-hire motor carriers can take the confidential survey via ATRI’s website, www.atri-online.org.
