ATA Looks Back on Day of Terrorists

Employees of the American Trucking Associations held a brief commemoration of the Sept. 11 attacks Wednesday morning, at which William J. Canary, ATA president and chief executive officer, issued the following statement:

"One year ago, we joined together as Americans in an expression of grief and outrage following a morning that none of us will forget. Our prayers continue to be with those who lost loved ones and friends, with those who were injured, and to those who fight today across the nation and abroad, as well as with President Bush and indeed the entire country.

This was a tragedy that touched each of us as never before. In the past year we have come together as a nation, and the entire trucking industry can be proud of how we responded then and continue to respond today as we stand with President Bush and America, moving forward."
