Amp Trillium Opens CNG Station in Perry, Ga.

Amp Trillium opened its first CNG public fueling station in Perry, Ga., built to serve Frito-Lay’s heavy-duty Class 8 tractor-trailers.

Trillium CNG partnered with Frito-Lay North America to build the fueling station located at the Davis Oil Co. commercial fueling center. Frito-Lay has one of the largest CNG fleets in the United States.

The station will provide easy access to CNG fuel for heavy-duty truck fleets between Atlanta and Valdosta, Ga.

"Frito understands that fueling with CNG creates an economic and environmental opportunity, one that we are excited to help them realize," Nate Laurell, AmpCNG’s CEO, said in a statement

Amp Trillium is a venture between ampCNG and Trillium CNG formed in 2012 to build a network of CNG stations across the United States.

In related news, TruStar Energy opened a public CNG fueling station for Freedom CNG in Houston.

The station will allow commercial and public CNG-powered vehicles to fuel using three separate fuel islands, protected from the elements by a large, well-lit canopy that will accommodate tractor-trailers.
