American Freightways to Create Jobs in Maryland

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — A trucking company says it will create at least 60 jobs in the Hagerstown area.

American Freightways of Harrison, Ark., said on Tuesday it will open a terminal near Hagerstown Regional Airport in an abandoned trucking terminal just north of the city along U.S. 11.

The company will employ mostly drivers, as well as mechanics, clerical workers and managers, Vice President Dennis Beal said.

He said employment could eventually rise to about 100 people.
