ALK Previews PC Miler 25 at Tech Summit

PRINCETON, N.J. — ALK Technologies is preparing to launch version 25 of its PC Miler truck-routing software, the company said May 5 at its annual technology summit here.

PC Miler 25 includes an integration with Inrix, a collector and aggregator of digital traffic data. The Inrix integration allows dispatchers to layer historical traffic data, such as average speeds, on top of routes generated by PC Miler.

Other additions will include geofencing, a first for PC Miler, more routing options for 53-foot trailer configurations and support in PC Miler’s toll database for light trucks and automobiles.

Mike Bodden, ALK’s chief technology officer, also said that route computation is 40% faster in PC Miler 25 than in version 24.
